FAQs about NatWest phone Insurance

While both policies offer phone insurance, the main difference is that NatWest phone insurance is an add-on benefit with its Reward accounts, which means it can only be accessed by account holders and is linked to the account itself.

Meanwhile, we offer flexible, standalone mobile insurance plans with unlimited claims and the freedom to cancel at any time, giving you more control over your policy.

The cost of NatWest phone insurance depends on the type of Reward Account you have. If you're a customer with a NatWest Reward Silver account, the monthly fee is £10; Reward Platinum is £22; and Premier Reward Black is £36.

The excess on NatWest phone insurance varies based on the type of claim. If your phone needs to be replaced, the excess is £100 per approved claim. If the phone requires repair, the excess is reduced to £50 per approved claim. This excess applies to each claim you make within the policy year. It's important to note that the excess is fixed, and the policy will cover claims up to the limits outlined in your Reward Account benefits.

You cannot directly cancel NatWest phone insurance as it is included as part of the Reward Account benefits. If you wish to stop your coverage, you will need to close your Reward Account. Once the account is closed, the associated phone insurance will be automatically cancelled. We offer a more flexible insurance policy that can be cancelled at any time.

Yes, NatWest phone insurance covers accidental damage. However, it’s important to review the full policy details for any exclusions or conditions that may apply to specific claims.

We offer insurance for most phones, but there are a few requirements:

  • Phone age: Your device must be less than 36 months old, whether you bought it new or refurbished.
  • Authorised dealers: We only insure phones purchased with a warranty from authorised UK dealers.
  • Good working order: Your phone must be in good working condition at the start of the policy.
  • Age requirement: You must be 18 years old or over to purchase insurance with us.
