Which Chromebook do I have?
Find your exact model number of your Chromebook by looking on the bottom panel or by looking at its original packaging.
Another way is to use an app called 'Chromebook’s recovery utility'. Install the app in your active Google account then Launch app, click on 'Getting Started' and within a new pop-up page you should see an option called 'For this Chromebook, enter..' followed by a sequence of numbers and letters. Once you click on this you'll see your Chromebook model number.
Within the settings of your device, you may also see various other details about your device such as;
- Device model, such as HP Chromebook x360 14c
- Operation system such as, Chrome OS
- Processor/chipset information, like, Intel® Core™ i3-1115G4
- Memory, such as 8 GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM
The actual storage capacity you have available for your files and apps may be lower than the figure shown as the operating system and other software uses some of this space.

Accidental damage
Whether it’s a cracked screen or keyboard fault, if your laptop is damaged accidentally we’ll repair it. If it’s not repairable, we’ll replace it.
Malicious damage
We'll cover you for any intentional damage caused to your laptop.
Liquid damage
If any fluid gets into your laptop and causes damage or makes it stop working as it should, we'll repair it - if it’s not repairable, we’ll replace it.
Accessories
If your accessories are damaged lost of stolen at the same time as your tablet you're covered up to £150. Or if we replace your tablet and it’s not compatible with your existing accessories, we’ll cover the cost of new ones up to £150.
Worldwide cover
With Insurance2go, your laptop has unlimited worldwide cover. So you're insured wherever in the world you are if anything happens to it.
Loss or theft
Losing a laptop can be worrying. We'll get a replacement to you if you accidentally lose yours. Get a speedy replacement if your laptop is stolen.

A cracked screen can make your laptop completely unusable. It could be a sign of damage inside the machine, too. We'll repair your laptop if the screen gets cracked, or replace it if we can't.
Liquids can be hazardous to the inner workings of laptops. If any type of fluid gets inside and damages your machine, you’re covered for repair or a replacement.
The randomness of life means your laptop could get damaged at any time. If it does, we'll fix it or replace it. However, it'll need to be more than just cosmetic damage, as this won't be covered by your insurance.
