What type of phone insurance do you need?
Choosing the right type of mobile phone insurance is straightforward. You will usually have a choice of plans with different cover levels which provide varying degrees of protection for your phone.
Mobile insurance policies which provide the highest levels of cover will cost the most, but it’s important that you choose a level of protection that suits you.

THE IPHONE 13 – NOW IN PINK!
The iPhone 13 comes with the usual tech upgrades: a better camera, longer life battery, faster processor and better displays.
It’s fairly standard that every iPhone seems to get a faster chip. Inside you will find 16 cores which features: 15 billion transistors, 15.8 trillion operations per second, 30% faster GPU and a faster Neural Engine.
All iPhone 13 model have retained the Ceramic Shield screen, which, Apples says, has 4x better drop performance. It’s expensive to repair though. It will cost you £266 to repair the screen officially with Apple.
All the new iPhone 13 models will keep the same performance for dropping your phone into the toilet or sink. IP68 means the iPhone should be fine for up to 30 mins in 6 metres of water.
What is the iPhone 13 Range?
The iPhone 13 range of phones includes; iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
As expected, the design language is similar to the iPhone 12, with less-rounded edges and a raised camera.
All iPhone 13’s benefit from a new A15 Bionic Chip, which is claimed to be the fastest chipset in any smartphone, which includes a 6 Core CPU, 2 High-Performance cores, 4 High Efficiency core and a 4 core CPU. Which is a lot of performance for a smartphone.
The iPhone 13 display
All of the iPhone 13 phones have the same OLED Super Retina XDR display that extends right into the chassis.
The contrast ratio is 2,000,000:1 which makes for blacker blacks and brighter whites.
Max brightness is 800 nits for the standard iPhone 13 models, 200 nits lower than the Pro models.
iPhone 13 Battery Performance
As usual, there are incremental boosts to battery performance, especially since the display iPhone 13 mini will receive a 1.5hr boost in battery life. The iPhone 13 receive a 2.5 hr boost.
The iPhone 13 Camera
The iPhone 13 and 13 mini has a dual-lens camera system that is now diagonal within the raised camera block, previously the lens were above each other. The dual lens features a wide lens with an f/1.6 aperture. The Ultra-Wide lens features an f/2.4 aperture. The new Ultra-Wide camera offers better low light performance, and the updated wide camera lets in more light.
The iPhone 13 Pro & ProMax camera
The iPhone 13 Pro model is different from the basic range in that it gets a triple-lens camera system with better Ultra-Wide and a telephoto lenses for higher-end photography for like macro-photography and night-mode portraits. The Pro range also receives Apple’s ProRes video format, which records video up to 4K at 30 fps (1080p at 30 fps for 128GB storage).
