Release date, price, specs and rumours surrounding the impending release of the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 & Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 phones
Rumours surrounding the upcoming release and what could be included as part of the spec for the new Apple iPhone 13!
Fan of the iPhone? We’re quickly approaching that time of year when Apple are due to release details behind the next iPhone! We’ve brought together some of the rumours surrounding the upcoming release and what could be included as part of the spec for the new Apple iPhone 13!
Based on the previous naming conventions the 2021 iPhone line-up of mobile phone will be called iPhone 12s or iPhone 13, and a recent supply chain report may suggest that the new iPhone will be called iPhone 13, with the remaining line-up of phones being called - iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
According to recent report by Forbes, Apple’s Chief Financial Officer, Luca Maestri, confirmed recently that some of it’s products will be badly affected moving forward, in particular the iPhones and iPads.
Last year was an exception as Apple, like everyone else, was hit by supply chain problems due to COVID-19. Normally Apple release the iPhones in September, therefore, we believe the iPhone 13 will be announced on the 14th September 2021 and then available to buy shortly after that.
Forbes suggests that there are rumours that the price for the new iPhone 13 could be around £799*/$799.
This is very much in keeping with the previous iPhone 12 & 11 models., and if the new release for the iPhone 13 is in line with the previous price points and market strategy, then we could expect the price for the other models to be around:
- iPhone 13 Mini - £699*
- iPhone 13 Pro - £999*
- iPhone 13 Pro Max - £1,099*
*estimated prices.
What will the iPhone 13 look like?
We've seen rumours that there may be no major changes to the 2021 iPhone models look and feel. We may see slight changes in weight as Apple tries to improve on battery performance by adding in a bigger battery, this may also affect the thickness of the phone..
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple Analyst, several sources have indicated that the camera notch may decrease in size. This notch was first implemented in the iPhone X, and Kuo believes that by 2023 the notch will disappear as the camera and Face ID will be installed below the display.
Last year we were treated to some colours, which was exciting. These included pacific blue, green and purple.
We’ve not heard any reliable rumours yet about the colour line, but we hope to see Apple bring in a more extensive array of colours as it did with the recently released iMac.
The A15 processor
Macworld recently reported that Apple has ordered 100 million A15 Bionic chips for the new iPhone. This is a 30% increase on the previous year’s iPhone 12. Whilst there are no details yet about the performance of that chipset, we expect there to be efficiency saving in performance and battery life.
Better 5G & Wi-Fi performance
Barclays Analysts, Blayne Curtis and Thomas O’Malley, recently reported in MacRumors that iPhone 13 may support W-Fi 6E.
By adopting Wi-Fi 6E the 6GHz band allows for internet speeds of greater than 1Gbps and also means lower latency for online games, or video calls.
